Atheist Alliance International (AAI) is pleased to announce that its 15th annual USA convention will be held in Burbank, California the weekend of October 2-4, 2009.

The theme of the convention will be "Darwin's Legacy," in honor of the 150th anniversary of the publication of Darwin's seminal work on evolution by natural selection, The Origin of Species.  As part of that theme, the 15th annual AAI convention will be co-hosted by the Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science, with the Foundation bringing a slate of internationally-renowned speakers on science to the convention.

We are also pleased to announce that Bill Maher, effervescent host of HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher and host and co-producer of the 2008 documentary movie Religulous, will be in attendance Friday evening to receive the 2009 AAI Richard Dawkins Award for his efforts to further the values science and reason in the world.
