Committee identifies needs and develops programs that can provide support to smaller or struggling AAI affiliates who seek assistance in growing and strengthen their local group. Programs can consist of leadership training tapes and packets; organizational forms and checklists; information on filing as a non-profit organization; and sample bylaws and policies. Committeemembers may also be called upon to visit affiliate groups and candidates and lead organizational development workshops. Knowledge of organizational theories and models and/or experience with non-profits strongly preferred. This committee is also excellent training ground for learning "best-of" non-profit organizational practices that can be taken back to one's home organization. |
