Atheists & Agnostics of Wisconsin

Mission Statement

The purposes of the AAW (from our Constitution) are:

  1. Promote knowledge of, refinement of, and appreciation for the principles of rationalism, freethought, atheism, agnosticism, and related subjects.

  2. .
  3. Support the principle of separation of state and church.
AAW provides a source of camaraderie and a forum for exchange of ideas among atheists, agnostics, rationalists, freethinkers, and others through monthly meetings, social functions, and political activism.  We publish a monthly newsletter, Reasonings.   AAW members frequently use the media and other resources to promote their ideas to the public and to legislators.  For eight years, Atheists and Agnostics of Wisconsin had a student chapter on the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.
