The AAI Education Committee is responsible for developing, delivering and maintaining AAI's leadership heritage education program curriculum and recognition system.

The AAI Leadership Heritage Education program is an on-line self-study program for AAI members and affiliate groups to use to recover their heritage and knowledge of freethought history, build analysis, speaking and ethical skills, and empower themselves to take leadership roles in the freethought and local communities.  AAI tracks participants' progress through the program, provides assistance as requested, and approves recognition awards for each step completed.

The committee also regularly reviews the program material and makes sure that the requirements are reasonable and complete and fairly cover the range and depth of material that justifies a mastery of the topic.  Committeemembers may also work with other national freethought groups to share material ideas and concepts and pursue collaboration and other cross-pollination efforts to constantly improve the program.
