Lane County Secular Society (LCSS) strives to protect the First Amendment guarantee of separation of church and state, promote non-theist viewpoints as valid contributions to public discourse, and provide mutual support and social activities for the secular community of Lane County. LCSS works in coalition with like minded organizations to achieve these goals, operating in a democratic manner without discrimination as to gender, race, age, sexual orientation, ethnic origin, nationality or disability.Events
Our next regular meeting will be 1PM Saturday, March 5. Please see below for more information.
Due to the low turnout of members and other interested people, meetings will no longer be held at the EWEB Building. The organization has given up the meeting place which EWEB has so graciously allowed it to use for the past several years. Several suggestions have been made to have meetings at various members homes, or at different restaurants in Eugene. DVDs and video tapes are available for loan from the Eugene Public Library on many topics of interest to the membership, and it has been suggested that one of those programs be presented at our respective homes. (Equipment for such showings has not been available at the EWEB meeting room) For information regarding these meetings and programs please email the contact person on this page. It is still planned to have regular meetings on the first Saturday of each month at 1:00PM.
