Welcome to the 2001 Atheist Alliance Convention Photo Pages!

For those of us who were there, it was a wonderful time. We gathered for fun, food, education, and entertainment—and we weren't disappointed. For those who couldn't attend, and for those who want to reminisce, we're providing these pages.

First, though, we want to offer a huge thanks to the Atlanta Freethought Society for putting this event together. The amount of time, effort, and pure dedication showed. A huge thanks to Ed Buckner, Steve Yothment, Mirza Choudhury, Sue Garland, and William Burton for showing us all how it's done.

Not to be forgotten (most assuredly not by those who were there) is the board meeting, which took place before, during breaks, and after the convention. Yes, it was fractious—but all points of view on every subject were heard, thanks to the excellent talents of our parliamentarian, Richard Russell. We made some changes this year, and we think the member societies will like what we've done. Take a look inside, but here's a clue to some of what was discussed:
  • We are no longer the Atheist Alliance, Inc. Our name is now Atheist Alliance International.
