Executive Director Required

Atheist Alliance International seeks a part-time Executive Director to manage day-to-day operations and grow the organization.

About us

AAI is a not-for-profit, global federation of atheist groups and individuals committed to supporting atheists around the world who are discriminated against and criminalized. We also work to educate the public about atheism and critical thinking.

We were founded in 2001 with roots going back to 1993. We were granted UN Special Consultative status in 2013. Now we have ambitions to become the most influential international atheist organization in the world.

The role

The Executive Director (ED) will work with the AAI Board to:

  • Create strategy and annual plans.
  • Sharpen the project management of our campaigns.
  • Raise funds.
  • Guide communications through our website and social media teams.
  • Recruit and manage volunteers.

The Executive Director will act as a figurehead for the organization and drive the recruitment of affiliates and individual members.

This is a work-from-home, part-time role of 24 hours per week.

The requirements

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about our cause. The ED will need to demonstrate success in growing an organization and delivering projects. Excellent communications and person-management skills are essential.

The ED will be comfortable working in a matrix-style organization that is not content to be good but strives to be the best.

The benefits

This is a high-profile, leading role in a long-established international atheist organization that has plans to put atheism on the international agenda. The initial salary will be $1,000 US monthly but this will be reviewed in the light of the jobholder’s performance. This could become a full-time position in the future. Success is the key.
