Directors needed!

AAI is proud to have a working board comprised of volunteer (unpaid) directors. This keeps our administrative costs low whilst ensuring all areas of work are directly represented on the board. Unfortunately, we currently have six vacant seats on the board that we need to fill as soon as we can. Can you help us?

We are looking for REGIONAL DIRECTORS for North America and for Latin America. These directors should live in the region, or have lived in the region. They will represent their region on the board and will support affiliate members in their region. This involves liaison, supporting regional and country campaigns, nurturing emerging atheist organizations, and recruitment of new affiliate members.

We are also looking for directors from anywhere in the world with any of the following skillsets:

COMMERCIAL
A commercially astute person is needed to run our membership system for individual members, run membership campaigns, manage our online shop, and generate income via our Amazon affiliate & Amazon Smile programs. This person will also continually search for other opportunities to create income streams.

ADVOCACY
An excellent public speaker and writer is required to manage global campaigns, to represent AAI at the UN Economic and Social Council and to prepare for admission to other international human rights organizations.

MEDIA
We need a good communicator with an eye for design and WordPress experience to manage our website and social media.

ADMINISTRATION
We need a well-organized person with some IT skills to manage our IT systems and security, including onboarding, terminations and maintaining our policies and procedures.

If you know suitably qualified people, please discuss these roles with them. If they are willing to devote several hours each week to help atheists at risk and promote secularism worldwide, please put us in touch with them within the next two weeks. Of course, you can apply if you are qualified and have time to give.

The board will review candidates and make appointments where appropriate. Any directors appointed will be subject to election by affiliate members at the next Annual General Meeting in accordance with our bylaws.
