AAI kindly asks our followers to add your name to a petition calling for Iran to release Iranian atheist, Soheil Arabi, sentenced to death for insulting the prophet on Facebook. Our contributor, Sina Nasiri, recently submitted a blog with Soheil’s story.

The Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain have declared October 3rd to be International Soheil Day and are asking people to raise global awareness about his situation:

On this day, we urge the public to highlight his plight by rallying at Iranian embassies, contacting members of parliament in their countries of residence, writing protest letters, Tweeting #FreeSoheil #SoheilDay #SoheilArabi and sending messages of solidarity to Soheil and his mother Farangis Mazloum who has been targeted for defending her detained son.
